The primary role of the Optician is to enhance patient satisfaction and maintain strong relationships with both patients and doctors.  

SALARY: $52,000-$56,000 + Benefits

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Boost store revenue by cultivating a sales-oriented environment through effective retail techniques.
• Cultivate professional connections with colleagues and doctors.
• Fill eyeglass prescriptions and tailor lenses and frames to meet patient needs, including lens recommendations and frame selection.
• Conduct optical measurements accurately and ensure a seamless patient experience from pricing to delivery.
• Offer guidance on Managed Vision Care and assist with store merchandising and marketing activities.
• Perform pre-screening tasks and routine cleaning duties.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Sales proficiency and accountability for achieving sales targets.
• Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and exceed their expectations.
• Ability to foster positive relationships with colleagues and doctors.
• Attention to detail, follow-up, and flexibility in managing tasks.
• Willingness to take calculated risks.
• Familiarity with personal computers and basic knowledge of vision insurance.
• Preferably, experience with prescreening equipment such as Optomap and Auto-refractor.
