We are looking for a Medical Assistant for one of the largest pain management practice in the country.  This Medical Assistant will support our Mount Vernon location. Our outstanding team of medical professionals demonstrates extraordinary diagnostic and therapeutic skill, encompassing both physiatry and anesthesiology, to provide patients with the most comprehensive approach available to pain management.

The Medical Assistants work under the administrative supervision of the Center Manager, with clinical guidance and direction from the Physician. Successful candidates will be able to greet patients; relay telephone messages to the appropriate recipients; assist with procedures; and perform various other assigned clinical responsibilities, utilizing sterile and aseptic techniques. We are looking for Medical Assistants who recognize the impact intractable pain has on quality of life, and reflect an attentive, personalized approach to patient care.
To effectively meet the needs of our many patients, we require all Medical Assistants to possess, in addition to a high school diploma and a current CPR card, one or more of the following qualifications: 
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program OR Bachelor Degree in a related medical field in addition to one year of medical office experience required. 
  • CMA and/or RMA certifications are strongly preferred. 
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical Medical Assistant experience, preferably in a specialty practice, required. 
  • Experience in Pain Management, Regenerative Medicine, or Orthopedics, strongly desired.
  • Must demonstrate basic office skills, as well as the aptitude to learn new software technology for patient registration, records, dictation, and transcriptions.
  • Excellent patient care skills, the ability to take vital signs, knowledge of healthcare and medical terminology, and awareness of the legal implications of work and words in healthcare are also required.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
