Application Analyst (Centricity, Epic, Cerner)

We are looking for a EMR Analyst primarily responsible to participate in the design, development, testing and implementation build of PM/EMR suite of applications and custom software applications and off the shelf technologies and/or devices. This person will Analyze business requirements, workflows, procedures and problems to automate processing or to improve EMR utilization and seamless processing. They will also configure, implement and support EMR and peripheral systems, transaction management, errors and exception management.

Project Notes:
CC Tracker: is a web (Intranet) based application designed to facilitate care coordination prioritization and optimization of work. This application will have multiple capabilities which will replace use of manual excel logs and provide various functionalities associated with different roles like Care Coordinator, Community Connector, Transition of Care(TOC), Case Management Processor(CMP), Peer Specialist.

The intent of the tool is to give a real time line of sight to supervisors into the completion of the Model of Care. This tool also creates operations and auditing reports. 

Essential Functions:
  • Provides O & M, break-fix and operational support to the Clinic Operations business users for Centricity Practice Solutions and peripheral applications utilizing tools supplied for phone support, ticket support, e-mail, and remote computer support.
  • Supports Clinic Operations Projects and Implementation plan working with the Clinical Informatics team, interact with Business leaders and project team / resources to understand requirements, workflows, business process Model and expectations including familiarizing yourself with Molina’s Key Decisions for EMR.
  • Performs and reports on update, build, break-fix testing. Create and utilize test scripts when necessary.
  • Executes build of clinical content as approved both within Centricity Practice Solutions application and utilizing third party tools such as Visual Form Editor, Text File Editor, creation of letters, forms, handouts and more.
  • Troubleshoots, configures and supports all modules of EMR application and interfaces including but not limited to eRx, Orders, reports (clinical), Lab Interface, clinical documentation, health maintenance, state immunization Registries, Patient Portal, scanning, indexing, vitals’ device integration, and administration.
  • Troubleshoots, configures and supports all modules of Practice Management application including but not limited to reports (financial), EDI, scheduling, billing, collections, and administration.
  • Works closely with IT resources and business appointed testers in preparation for deployments and delivery.
  • Gathers requirements from business and provide feedback to determine the best method for clinical, PM, EDI, and reports building.
  • Participates in delivery schedule planning and provide task level estimations.
  • Works the application issues with related groups such as Development, DBAs, Architects, infrastructure and Operations.
  • Knowledge of industry standard quality norms, EMR/PM applications suite and expertise in at least one area of the product suite
  • Ability to support workflow documentation, designs and setup
  • Ability to provide basic User training, Go-Live Support, work and resolve issues and provide resolution
  • Ability to define Processes and Procedures, and coordinate daily development and support activities 
  • Good interpersonal skills required to interact with customers and clients and provide functional and technical assistance to resolve problems
Required Experience:
  • 2-4 years of experience in EMR & Practice Management suite of applications and/or 2-4 years in the healthcare domain.
  • Experience with Centricity Practice Solutions v9.0 or higher OR Experience with clinical content/template building with another EMR.
  • Experience with EHR/EMR implementation lifecycles
  • Experience with EMR/HER Applications Suite (GE Centricity, NextGen, EPIC, Cerner, e-Clinical Works),
  • Experience in creating artifacts including Workflows, design documents, architecture documents, test plans and test cases.
