Open Position:
We are looking for candidates with strong customer service and interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task, who are detail oriented, have a desire to help others, and who are excited to grow and develop a career.  The Medical Billing and Coding Specialist assists with compliance and coding contracts including timely presentation of deliverables to clients and management of client contract budgets. Presents compliance and coding project findings and recommendations to client leadership and other client executive level leaders. Performs compliance audits and coding projects and assists in analyzing results to develop reports and recommendations. Assist in billing submission, claim review and analysis to develop reports and recommendations. Performs regulatory research needed to authoritatively support all recommendations and initiatives. Ensures compliance with performing current regulatory and/or coding research. Assists in the development of new or modification of existing policies and procedures required to achieve compliance and coding objectives for all compliance and coding clients. Assists the Project Manager in all areas of project support

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work independently
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Strong organizational, quantitative and analytical skills
Excellent communication with ability to present findings and discuss issues with both clinical and medical administrative personnel
Knowledge of medical record auditing methodologies and coding abstraction principles
Knowledge of ICD-9 CM and CPT coding and rules
Knowledge of billing and claiming processes
Understanding of current Medicare and Medicaid regulatory requirements and experience with policy research
Billing experience required, experience in billing submission, follow-up and billing analysis
High school diploma or equivalent
1 - 3 years related experience.
