Direct-Hire Job Opportunity as an LMS Administrator with a National Leader in BioTechnology located in Gaithersburg, MD. 
I: Job Summary
This individual will be the Super User and Global Administrator for a validated enterprise Learning Management System (eLMS). As the Subject Matter Expert, they will be expected to lead optimization of the platform through the implementation of standards and best practices. This individual will participate in the system’s governance helping to highlight and prioritize opportunities for enhancements and other changes. They will be responsible for managing annual releases and other updates for this cloud based application, as well as, keeping the business abreast of changes in functionality.
Although primarily responsible for eLMS, this individual will assist as needed in administration of other Success Factors modules such as Employee Central, Onboarding, Recruiting, Performance and Compensation.
II: Responsibilites
Learning SME:
  • Manage system configuration in accordance with change management policies
  •  Support LMS Administrators across the enterprise
  • Act as the main point of contact for troubleshooting system issues solution finding, proposals, and final resolution
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues, internal customers, and vendors
  • Effectively escalate and follow up on system-related IT issues to IT and/or vendor as appropriate
  • Develop, document, and drive the adoption of standards and best practices for utilizing and maintaining validated eLMS
  • Maintains and delivers eLMS end user and administrator training. Trains new LMS administrators to ensure compliance to standard administration practices across all sites
  • Creates functional requirements documents, approach documents, use cases and process flows as needed
  • Analyze and support the day-to-day information needs for training business leads. Design and generates standard and custom reports
  • Ensure system is available for its intended purpose
  • Monitors background processes and ensures system is available for its intended purpose
  • Constantly keeps skills up to date by participation in the Success Factors Community, Learning Special Interest Groups, and Success Connect
Validation Support:
  • Perform periodic system validation tasks to ensure the system achieves regulatory requirement qualifications at all times - writing, reviewing, and executing test scripts
  • Lead support for internal/external audits/and inspections including providing training reports
  • Ensures with assistance from IT Computer Validations and Quality partners that the system maintains its validated state and responds as needed to regulatory inquiries and/or audits with assistance from IT Computer Validations
Release Maintenance
  • Responsible for LMS modifications and release schedule maintenance
  • Responsible to keep Global LMS system current by staying on top of road-map, networking with peer groups outside Emergent, partnering with IT/vendor, tracking release schedule, testing, socializing new features with business leads and updating documentation as needed
  • Makes recommendations on future improvements to content management, workflow processes, and user experience
  • Conduct testing and perform adoption activities for new release functionality for the LMS
  • Leads meetings related to LMS support, modifications, configurations, and customizations
  • Maintains all systems documentation (technical and functional)
  • Identifies and introduces other relevant learning technologies in support of enterprise training initiatives
Other Responsibilities:
  • Although primarily responsible for eLMS, this role will assist as needed in administration of other Success Factors modules such as Employee Central, Onboarding, Recruiting, Performance and Compensation
  • Assists as needed to implement new Success Factors modules and/or maintain existing modules
  • Assist with special projects as needed

III: Education, Experience & Skills
  • 5 to 7 years’ experience as an LMS Administrator with a strong understanding of Learning Needs Management, Scheduling Management, Online Content Management and Configuration Management
  • Knowledge of reporting tools and SQL queries.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/work experience.
  • Interest to learn and ability to maintain system other than LMS
  • Proficient in the use of: Word, Power Point, Excel, learning management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw meaningful insights.
  • Adept at troubleshooting
  • Strong customer service skills. Ability to maintain and build relationships across functions
  • Enterprise mindset
Desired Skills:
  • Working with validated systems and/or managing GxP training requirements
  • Experience with Success Factors / Plateau Learning Management System
  • Experience with Success Factors reporting tool
  • Experience with Success Factors core HRIS system (Employee Central)
  • Proficient with multi-media courseware development tools including Articulate and Captivate
IV: Physical/Mental Requirements
