Job Title: Senior Structural CAD Technician 
Salary: $55,000-$70,000 annually

Job description: 
Looking for a Senior CAD Technician, with experience on structural engineering projects to join the team in Frederick, MD. The Senior CAD Technician will provide drafting support to the cold-formed steel department, working under the direction of engineers and project managers.

Essential Job Functions Include:

• Provide setup for moderate and complex projects. As well as assist others in setting up simple projects.  
• Coordinate detail and plan section numbers.
• Select appropriate standard details for moderate and complex projects.  
• Determine where to cut sections and select standard sections.  
• Create non-standard sections and details as required.
• Back check others on simple and moderate project drawings.  
• Discover obvious inconsistencies in drawing sets.  
• Study comments provided to you and incorporate them into future projects.
• Communicate with client re: simple questions regarding dimensions and details.  
• Coordinate with internal project team.
• Review the weekly schedule and inform team leader if you think you have been under or over scheduled.  
• Maintain detail and block library.  
• Produce or coordinate complete contract documents for moderate and complex projects.
• Deliver projects within established time periods.

Qualifications: 

• Must have a minimum 3 years of CAD experience in general building design with the ability to read construction drawings. Must also have an ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
