Job Title: Utility Engineer
Job Type: Full Time


We are seeking an entry-level Utility Engineer to join our team and assist in a variety of utility design and relocation projects. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers, providing support in utility design and coordination efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in performing utility design and relocation designs for water, sewer, and conduit systems.
• Collaborate with utility agencies to facilitate coordination and ensure project requirements are met.
• Prepare utility conflict matrices to identify and resolve design issues.
• Prepare design calculations, contract drawings, cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, specifications, and special provisions for engineering projects.
• Provide CADD (Computer-Aided Design and Drafting) support, using AutoCAD or MicroStation, to assist in the preparation of design documents.
• Assist with construction phase services, including site visits, inspections, and addressing construction-related concerns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• CADD experience, including proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, is required.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of employment.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Valid Maryland Driver’s License.
