Remote Senior Project Manager – M&A, HR Integration, and Transition Management

Overview:
Join our client, a leading M&A firm, as a Remote HR Senior Project Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in managing mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures with a focus on human resources (HR) integration and transition planning. This position is ideal for an experienced professional adept at navigating corporate transitions, ensuring smooth operational execution, and driving alignment across business objectives and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
M&A and Carve-Out Oversight:
- Lead the full lifecycle of M&A and carve-out projects, including due diligence, planning, execution, and post-deal implementation.
- Collaborate across teams to evaluate risks, manage interdependencies, and ensure the efficient separation or integration of business operations.
HR Integration and Transition Management:
- Develop and implement detailed transition and integration plans for HR systems, policies, and processes.
- Oversee seamless onboarding and offboarding processes during organizational transitions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
- Champion change management strategies to align workforce dynamics with new organizational structures.
HR Expertise in Transactional Contexts:
- Manage HR workstreams for M&A activities, covering payroll, benefits, organizational restructuring, and talent retention plans.
- Partner with HR leadership to ensure employee-focused strategies align with overarching business goals.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executive teams, legal advisors, and consultants.
- Communicate regularly on project progress, deliverables, and alignment with strategic business outcomes.
Project Governance and Risk Mitigation:
- Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Proactively identify and address risks to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
Process Optimization and Documentation:
- Identify opportunities to refine and enhance M&A and integration processes.
- Document all project activities, insights, and best practices for knowledge-sharing and future application.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, or a related field.
- Advanced credentials such as an MBA or PMP certification are highly valued.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years focused on M&A, carve-outs, or corporate transitions.
- Demonstrated expertise in HR operations, systems, and organizational change management.
- Proven success in planning and executing post-merger integrations, including Transition Service Agreements (TSAs).
Skills:
- Proficiency with project management tools and frameworks.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for navigating dynamic and complex environments.
- Experience leading diverse, cross-functional teams across multiple geographies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with HR technologies, particularly Dayforce HRIS.
- Knowledge of compliance and legal considerations in global M&A transactions.
