RPGLE Developer - Hybrid Remote

Full-time position, full benefits. Stable company with a great team and environment. Hybrid - must be on-site three days per week.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications in RPG, RPGLE, and SQLRPGLE.

  • Develop and maintain reporting and analytics solutions for business stakeholders, including custom reports and data extraction tools.

  • Troubleshoot iSeries program errors, messages, and alerts.

  • Collaborate with business and IT leadership to automate and/or optimize business processes.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver software solutions that meet business needs.

  • Engage directly with the ERP vendor on support and development initiatives.

  • Test and validate IBM Power Systems software updates.

  • Support month-end and year-end procedures and processing.

  • Perform other related duties as required or as requested by the ERP Manager.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • At least 10 years of RPG, RPGLE, and SQLRPGLE development experience.

  • Knowledge or understanding of how IBM iSeries applications work.

  • Exposure to application components: UI, server architecture, system architecture, and databases.

  • Familiarity with DB2 database architecture.

  • Experience in VAI S2K ERP preferred but not required.

  • Strong linear focus: Able to walk through detail for planning and executing a development/ERP solution.

  • Comprehensive understanding of SDLC processes.

  • Ability to translate between technical and non-technical requirements.

  • Ability to organize activities and manage multiple priorities independently while also working as an active team member.

  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
