Medical Assistant / Case Management Processor
Location: Bothell, WA 98011 (Full Remote)
Type: Full-Time/Contract-to Permanent
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST
Work Arrangement: 100% Remote (Washington-based candidates only)
A leading managed care organization is seeking a Medical Assistant / Case Management Processor to join its growing team. This is a remote opportunity for candidates based in Washington state (outside the greater-Seattle area). The ideal candidate will bring strong customer service skills, comfort handling outbound calls, and a passion for improving patient outcomes through non-clinical case management support.
Position Summary
In this role, you will support the Case Management team by triaging requests, processing documentation, and coordinating non-clinical activities that ensure efficient service delivery. You’ll be on the front lines of member communication via outbound calls and emails while managing care coordination tasks and documentation in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform initial triage of Case Management tasks and review member data for care plan implementation
Make outbound calls and send follow-up emails to coordinate services and gather member information
Assist with processing “unable to contact” requests and support case resolution
Communicate with providers, members, and team members to support case coordination
Run and manage reports related to case management activities
Maintain complete and accurate records according to HIPAA and company standards
Provide administrative support to the case management team including phone coverage and message handling
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
2+ years of customer service or healthcare administrative support experience (e.g., medical assistant, office assistant)
Experience working in healthcare or managed care settings preferred
Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong customer service and communication skills
Familiarity with medical terminology
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Accurate data entry skills (minimum 40 WPM)
High regard for confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
