Job Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 per year (includes 6-month base guarantee)
Territory: Candidate must reside within the assigned geographic territory

Summary
We are seeking a motivated, self-driven individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and a customer-first mindset to join our growing team as a Route Sales Representative. This position focuses on providing a variety of industrial hardware and MRO supplies directly to businesses through face-to-face selling and route-based service. Ideal candidates may come from companies such as EcoLab, Sunbelt Rentals, or similar industries—or may currently be machinists, equipment operators, or maintenance technicians with deep product knowledge and a desire to break into sales.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a mobile store and sell industrial products directly to customers across a defined territory

  • Identify and develop new prospects through referrals, business proximity, and cold calls

  • Conduct face-to-face visits with both warm leads and cold prospects

  • Maintain strong customer relationships through timely service and follow-up

  • Present products using demo kits, sample boards, and promotional materials

  • Keep mobile store clean, organized, and properly stocked

  • Log daily activity, orders, and prospecting details using company CRM tools

  • Maintain up-to-date customer records and contact details

  • Provide and maintain an insured, company-approved vehicle (used as the mobile store)

  • Engage in ongoing training and development

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Prior experience in route-based or outside sales strongly preferred

  • Industrial supply, MRO, or mechanical product knowledge a major plus

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest

  • Comfortable working independently and managing a mobile operation

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in CRM systems, email, spreadsheets, and mobile devices

  • Must be able to purchase or lease an approved vehicle

  • Clean driving history

  • Physically able to kneel and bend regularly
