Our client, a Dallas-area law firm, seeks a highly organized Branch Law Office Manager to oversee daily operations, emphasizing Human Resources (HR) and Billing. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in office management, HR functions, and legal billing practices. In this key role, you will ensure smooth workflow, manage client relationships, and provide essential administrative support to the legal team.
Responsibilities:
Human Resources (HR):
· Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for legal staff and support staff.
· Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
· Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave of absence management.
· Coordinate performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and employee training and development.
· Resolve employee issues and concerns and serve as a liaison between staff and management.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Billing and Financial Management:
· Manage the firm’s billing cycle for the branch office, including timekeeping and invoicing.
· Create and issue client invoices in a timely manner, adhering to the firm's billing structure.
Office Operations:
· Manage day-to-day administrative functions, including office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
· Implement and enforce office policies, procedures, and best practices.
· Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Requirements:
· Previous experience in law office management, human resources, and billing preferred
· Previous experience working in a law firm required
· Strong knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and legal billing software
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
· High attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal billing systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR).
· Experience in legal-specific billing software and time tracking systems.
