Director of Financial Planning and Analysis
Location: Toledo, Ohio 43605
Salary: $125K+
Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to lead a team of administrative professionals. The Director will have four direct reports and will work closely with the company President. This role includes both hands-on responsibilities and strategic financial leadership.
Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and motivate a team of direct reports
• Coordinate financial reporting and consolidation
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and support strategic planning
• Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and KPIs
• Prepare financial reports using the company ERP system and Microsoft Excel
• Complete all aspects of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, including P&L, general ledger reviews, journal entries, and analysis
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes
• Plan and analyze budgets and financial statements
• Provide accurate and timely financial data to the leadership team
• Partner with managers to support their accounting and budgetary needs
• Monitor and establish standard costs for current and new products
• Evaluate capital expenditures and return on investment
• Complete special accounting projects as requested by management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Finance or Accounting
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role such as Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Controller, or Financial Planning and Analysis Manager
• Background in manufacturing accounting
• Experience with ERP systems
• Proficiency in month-end and year-end closing processes
• Familiarity with establishing standard cost accounting
• Prior supervisory experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting
• Experience with Paycor payroll systems
