Position Summary:
A growing industrial services provider is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to lead business development across a defined geographic area. This role involves selling a wide range of industrial cleaning and maintenance services to customers in heavy industries such as power generation, petrochemical, food processing, water treatment, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong technical sales experience and established relationships within industrial markets across central Illinois.
Key Responsibilities:
Sell the company’s full suite of industrial services directly to new and existing customers.
Use a variety of tools and platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, databases, referrals) to identify and target qualified leads.
Research and engage key decision-makers at customer facilities.
Plan and execute in-person sales visits and technical presentations.
Identify and align customer needs with the company’s service capabilities.
Develop strategic plans and revenue targets for assigned accounts.
Prepare quotes, complete job data sheets, and generate professional bids consistent with company standards.
Work collaboratively across departments to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Monitor and respond to competitor activity within assigned territory.
Support field service teams and maintain a presence at customer sites as needed.
Maintain accurate CRM records and contribute to territory performance reporting.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
5–7 years of outside sales experience, preferably within industrial or manufacturing environments.
Strong understanding of industrial processes and services (e.g., chemical cleaning, water jetting, vacuum truck systems).
Experience developing quotes and presenting technical proposals to industrial clients.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM platforms.
Strong questioning and consultative selling skills (SPIN selling experience is a plus).
Mechanical aptitude and ability to grasp complex service applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to travel regionally up to 50% of the time.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
