Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist
Location: Panama City, FL 32401
Salary: $58.15 – $73.56 per hour based on experience
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (paid in five installments over 2 years)
Shift Differentials: Evenings +$3.00/hr, Nights +$6.00/hr
Available Shifts:
Mixed Shifts: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM and 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Night Shift: 7 on / 7 off schedule (Wednesday through Tuesday), 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our central pharmacy team within a busy acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have hospital experience, be self-directed, and bring a strong clinical foundation to support patient care in a high-acuity environment. This position reports directly to the Director of Pharmacy.
Responsibilities:
Interpret and transcribe or verify medication orders into the pharmacy system accurately and efficiently
Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals following regulatory and institutional standards
Monitor drug therapies for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and dosing accuracy
Promote adherence to the hospital formulary and support therapeutic interchange practices
Provide timely and accurate drug information to medical staff and patients
Participate in clinical pharmacy programs including pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation, pain management, nutrition support, renal dosing, and IV to PO conversions
Accurately document all clinical interventions and activities
Complete reports related to medication errors and adverse drug reactions
Supervise daily operations of the pharmacy department and assist with oversight of technical staff
Preferred Qualities:
Proven self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting
Prior healthcare provider or clinical experience highly valued
Candidates with recent hospital pharmacy experience are strongly preferred
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited institution
Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing
Completion of a hospital internship or PGY-1 residency is strongly preferred
Minimum of one year of recent acute care hospital experience required
