About the role

Our repeat A/E client in metro Atlanta is adding a Civil Engineer to lead site and land development projects. You’ll take ownership of plan production, stormwater modeling, and permitting while coordinating closely with PMs, survey, and agency stakeholders. The team moves quickly—often one interview to offer—and offers a phenomenal benefits plan plus remote Fridays after six months.

Compensation

  • Base salary: $120,000–$130,000 (DOE), with potential for more for the right fit

What you’ll do

  • Prepare site layout, grading, roadway, utility, and erosion & sediment control plans in Civil 3D

  • Perform hydrology and hydraulic modeling to support stormwater management reports

  • Develop profiles, cross sections, and pipe networks; assemble plan sets and details

  • Coordinate with clients, architects, surveyors, and permitting agencies; address review comments

  • Support due diligence, zoning research, and entitlement strategies

  • Provide construction-phase support including RFIs, submittal reviews, and periodic site visits

  • Contribute to schedules, budgets, and QA/QC to keep deliverables on time and on spec

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • EIT required; PE preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months

  • 4–6 years of civil site design experience (commercial, mixed-use, or institutional)

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (grading, corridors, profiles, pipe networks)

  • Working knowledge of hydrology tools and methods (e.g., Hydraflow Extensions, HEC tools, or similar)

  • Familiarity with state and local stormwater, erosion, and permitting requirements in the Southeast/Mid-Atlantic

  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to manage tasks, priorities, and deadlines

  • Atlanta, GA 30309 (on-site with hybrid flexibility)

  • Remote work on Fridays after six months
