Commercial Construction General Superintendent
Location: Jackson, MS 39201

Our Commercial-Industrial General Construction company is interviewing for an experienced Senior Superintendent / General Superintendent in Jackson, Mississippi.

As a General Superintendent you will manage and consult over 15 superintendents and oversee all field operations. To be considered for this opportunity, you must be a proactive leader, excellent communicator, and tireless problem solver.

Responsibilities

  • Hire competent field staff that align with the company culture

  • Lead, mentor, and manage superintendents to ensure profitability, quality standards, and job site order and cleanliness

  • Develop solutions-driven staff who serve customers, communicate clearly, treat people with respect, and strive for excellence

  • Recognize and address potential issues before they become problems, ensuring proactive troubleshooting

  • Establish and accomplish long-term goals for field operations and allocate resources to meet these objectives

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with engineers, contractors, office staff, superintendents, and field workers

  • Proven experience in all aspects of commercial construction (schools, office buildings, churches, etc.)

  • Track record of managing numerous commercial projects and staff

  • Strategic thinker with a high level of integrity and leadership ability

  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects while mentoring superintendents

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a General Superintendent or Field Superintendent

  • Proven experience managing multiple large-scale commercial construction projects

  • Familiarity with project management software

Compensation

  • Competitive annual salary of $140,000 to $160,000 depending on experience

  • Annual bonus incentive plan
