Compensation: $100,000 – $105,000 per year

Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer will support both new product launch activities and ongoing production programs within a high-volume metal stamping environment. This position requires a hands-on engineer who can work closely with production associates, supervisors, and plant management to improve manufacturing efficiency, optimize layouts, and ensure smooth program launches.

Key Requirements

  • Must have metals or stamping manufacturing experience (no exceptions).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a metal stamping facility.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to interact across multiple departments.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute launch activities for new and existing manufacturing programs.

  • Maintain and update process documentation including process books, PFMEA, operator descriptions, and ergonomics analyses.

  • Develop and maintain process flows, plant layouts, and strike-zone workstation designs for maximum efficiency.

  • Analyze and optimize workforce utilization, space requirements, and equipment layouts.

  • Implement lean manufacturing and best business practices related to material flow, process improvement, and labor balancing.

  • Maintain a centralized database for all plant layouts, process documents, and indirect labor tools.

  • Estimate production times, staffing needs, and process requirements for new and existing products.

  • Apply statistical methods and problem-solving tools to identify improvements and forecast production needs.

  • Ensure all operations and process improvements comply with company safety standards and OSHA regulations.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering or related discipline).

  • 4+ years of engineering experience in a metal stamping manufacturing environment.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively across departments.

  • Strong analytical and documentation skills with attention to detail.
