Location: Louisville, KY 40219
Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:15 p.m. – 1:45 a.m. (4-day work week)
Pay: $29/hour ($28 base + $1 shift differential)
Type: Direct Hire or Contract-to-Hire


About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced CNC Machining & Fabrication Team Leader to join their climate-controlled manufacturing facility in Louisville. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with manual machining experience who enjoys mentoring a small, collaborative team. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train CNC operators and manual machinists on daily operations

  • Lead and coordinate workflow to meet production schedules and quality standards

  • Operate and program CNC and manual machines (lathes and/or mills)

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives and optimize machining processes

  • Maintain lean and visual management systems to track performance and efficiency

  • Enforce safety standards and ensure a clean, organized work environment

  • Support new product launches and assist with project timelines

  • Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure tools are properly calibrated


Qualifications / Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training preferred

  • Proven experience supervising machining or fabrication teams

  • Proficiency in manual machining (lathes and/or mills)

  • Experience with CNC setup, operation, and basic programming

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles

  • Ability to stand 9–10 hours per day and lift up to 50 lbs

  • Willingness to work overtime as needed

  • Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States


Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of project management and process improvement techniques

  • Experience operating a forklift

  • Ability to train and mentor junior operators

  • Strong blueprint reading and measurement inspection abilities
