A growing home care agency is seeking an experienced HR Compliance & Benefits Coordinator to oversee workforce compliance, employee leave administration, benefits eligibility tracking, attendance management, and personnel documentation.
This role serves as a key resource for employees and leadership regarding FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, benefit eligibility, attendance compliance, employment status audits, and workforce documentation. The position works closely with Operations, Clinical, Scheduling, Payroll, and Recruiting teams to ensure compliance with company policies and state and federal labor regulations.
The ideal candidate has experience managing employee records, leave administration, workforce compliance, benefits eligibility, and employee relations in a healthcare, home care, or human services environment.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources, Workforce Compliance, Benefits Administration, Employee Relations, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
• Experience in home care, healthcare, or human services strongly preferred
• Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, employment laws, leave administration, and benefits eligibility requirements
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and electronic record systems
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across departments
• Coordinate and track employee leave programs, including:
• FMLA and Medical Leave
• Leave of Absence (LOA)
• PTO and Sick Time
• ADA Accommodation Requests
• Workers' Compensation Claims
• Vocational Rehabilitation Requests
• Monitor employee benefit eligibility based on hours worked and employment status
• Conduct audits of employee hours and benefit eligibility requirements
• Coordinate with Payroll and Operations regarding employee benefit status changes
• Maintain accurate records related to employee benefits, leave requests, and accommodations
• Monitor employee attendance, call-offs, tardiness, and no-call/no-show incidents
• Track employee classifications to ensure compliance with company policies regarding full-time, part-time, per diem, and temporary employment status
• Identify employees whose average hours may require a change in employment classification
• Maintain compliance reports and workforce documentation
• Track required employee training, certifications, licenses, and annual education requirements
• Notify leadership regarding upcoming expirations, deficiencies, or compliance concerns
• Assist with audits related to personnel files, employee records, and workforce compliance
• Maintain accurate employee records within company systems
• Support compliance with Department of Labor regulations and company policies
• Stay informed regarding labor law updates and workforce compliance requirements
• Serve as a point of contact for employee relations concerns and workplace issues
• Assist with employee investigations and corrective action documentation
• Process employee status changes, disciplinary actions, and separation records
• Support employee retention initiatives and recognition programs
• Collaborate with leadership to address attendance concerns and policy violations
• Support additional HR and compliance initiatives as assigned
