About the Opportunity

We're looking for a dependable caregiver who is available to work every Tuesday and Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM supporting a client in Cheshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a consistent daytime schedule while providing meaningful one-on-one care.

The client is a smoker, so applicants should be comfortable working in a home where smoking occurs.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay ranging from $17.50–$18.50 per hour based on experience and qualifications

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

• Help with meal preparation and light housekeeping

• Support safe mobility, transfers, and fall prevention

• Accompany clients to appointments and community outings when appropriate

• Run errands and grocery shopping for clients

• Drive client vehicles when authorized and appropriate

• Observe and report changes in client condition

• Follow individualized care plans to support client independence and safety

Who We're Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Must own and regularly have access to a reliable personal vehicle

• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance required

• Candidates relying on public transportation or rides from family or friends are not eligible for this position

• Ability to pass required background screenings

• Prior caregiving, home care, healthcare, or personal care experience strongly preferred

• CNA certification preferred but not required

• Experience assisting clients with mobility needs, transfers, or Hoyer lifts is a plus

• Comfortable working in a home where the client smokes

• Compassionate, dependable, and professional

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Available to work every Tuesday and Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
