About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced Dental Assistant or Orthodontic Assistant looking for a consistent part-time schedule and an opportunity to expand your clinical skills?
A specialty healthcare practice is seeking a Dental / Clinical Assistant for its Lancaster, Ohio office. This is a part-time position working two full days per week: Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.
The practice specializes in Dental Sleep Medicine and oral appliance therapy for patients with sleep apnea. Previous Dental Sleep Medicine experience is not required. Paid training will be provided to experienced dental professionals interested in learning this growing specialty.
This position is especially well suited for candidates with hands-on dental or orthodontic experience, including chairside assisting, digital or traditional impressions, intraoral scanning, dental imaging, Invisalign, retainers, or other dental appliances.
Schedule & Pay
• Tuesday and Thursday
• 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Approximately 16 hours per week
• $24.00–$27.00 per hour based on experience
• Part-time position
• Consistent weekday schedule
What You'll Do
• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments
• Assist providers during patient visits and procedures
• Capture digital impressions using advanced scanning technology
• Help patients understand treatment plans and next steps
• Build relationships with patients throughout their treatment journey
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and ongoing care
• Communicate with referring physician offices
• Maintain accurate treatment documentation and patient records
• Prepare and maintain clinical equipment and treatment rooms
• Support patients with oral appliances and treatment-related needs
• Help provide an exceptional patient experience from consultation through follow-up care
What We're Looking For
• Dental Assistant or Orthodontic Assistant experience strongly preferred
• Hands-on clinical experience working directly with patients
• Experience with impressions, intraoral scanning, dental imaging, Invisalign, retainers, or dental appliances is a plus
• Strong patient communication and customer service skills
• Professional, dependable, and positive attitude
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Comfortable learning new clinical technology and equipment
• Experience with electronic dental or medical records
• Reliable transportation
Learn a Growing Dental Specialty
You do not need previous Dental Sleep Medicine experience.
If you already have a foundation in dental or orthodontic assisting, the practice will train you in the clinical processes and technology used to treat patients with sleep apnea through oral appliance therapy.
This is an opportunity to add a specialized area of dentistry to your experience while maintaining a predictable two-day-per-week schedule.
