Job Title: Senior Accounting Manager
Location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid – 4 days in office, Fridays remote)
Compensation: $140,000 – $150,000 base + 15% bonus + excellent benefits

Position Summary:
The Senior Accounting Manager will lead U.S. accounting operations for a major business unit, reporting to the Global Controller based in the UK. This role will oversee financial reporting, ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, and manage the monthly close process. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with a background in both public accounting and industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee accounting processes for U.S. entities within the operating company
Lead month-end close activities including reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement reviews
Ensure proper cost classification for services, warranties, and concessions
Develop and implement accounting policies and process improvements
Monitor and execute control procedures; identify and address control gaps
Prepare and analyze balance sheet fluctuations; provide commentary on variances
Liaise with global process owners across AP, AR, FA, and cost accounting
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance
Support chart of accounts management and corporate accounting coordination
Supervise and develop one direct report
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, ideally with both public accounting and industry exposure
Manufacturing and/or multinational company experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP or OneStream is a plus
Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements and manage projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
SOX compliance experience highly desirable
