We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Bilingual Medical Scheduler to join our growing healthcare team in Bedford, New Hampshire.
This role is ideal for someone with experience coordinating patient appointments, medical procedures, referrals, and insurance-related scheduling activities in a busy healthcare environment. The Medical Scheduler serves as a key point of contact for patients, provider offices, and internal staff, helping ensure a seamless scheduling experience while maintaining exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with technology, and able to manage a high volume of scheduling activity while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Compensation: $24–$25 per hour
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of medical scheduling, patient access, medical receptionist, healthcare customer service, or related experience required
• Experience scheduling patient appointments, medical procedures, diagnostic testing, or specialty visits preferred
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) and scheduling platforms required
• Experience obtaining insurance authorizations, referrals, or Medicaid approvals preferred
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and web-based scheduling systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Bilingual Spanish required
• Schedule patient appointments, consultations, procedures, and follow-up visits
• Coordinate appointment availability across multiple providers and schedules
• Communicate appointment details, preparation instructions, and schedule updates to patients
• Verify patient information and maintain accurate scheduling records
• Assist with obtaining referrals, prior authorizations, and insurance approvals as needed
• Coordinate with provider offices, healthcare facilities, and internal departments regarding scheduling needs
• Manage appointment changes, cancellations, and rescheduling requests
• Answer incoming calls and respond to scheduling inquiries professionally and efficiently
• Maintain accurate documentation within scheduling and EMR systems
• Monitor provider schedules and identify opportunities to improve scheduling efficiency
• Assist patients with questions regarding appointments, referrals, and scheduling processes
• Support office operations including documentation, scanning, faxing, and general administrative tasks
• Help ensure a positive patient experience through excellent communication and follow-through
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
