Vice President, Information Technology

Vice President, Information Technology, Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with IT and business leadership to determine annual and ongoing IT project portfolio and priorities
    • Participate in technology needs discovery & analysis, project planning, and scope definition with internal business units (clients) and third-party vendors
    • Develop, monitor, and adapt project plans; identify and mitigate risks to deadlines, milestones, deliverables, and budgets
    • Aid in the development of project related documentation including business requirements and technical specifications, where needed
    • Ensure projects and systems follow company policies & procedures and legal/regulatory requirements; support related internal/external audit requests
    • Become familiar with various internally developed and off-the-shelf applications used throughout the organization; Over time become a subject matter expert / product owner for a subset of these systems (e.g., Yardi, UKG, Kronos, SharePoint, Teams)
    • Assist with IT Steering Committee planning and related management reporting along with definition and refinement of overall enterprise architecture
    • Work with IT leadership, along with company management, in development of IT governance documents & updated policies and procedures
    • Support the development of key metrics that assist in understanding IT’s performance across development, production support, cyber risk management, and project delivery

Vice President, Information Technology, Selection Criteria:
    • At least 10 years of experience in Information Technology field; software development or operations background is preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline; Master’s degree is a plus
    • Strong research, analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience leading or coordinating teams including non-IT personnel
    • Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects with varying deadlines
    • Knowledge of common software development or project management methodologies
    • Project management certification is a plus
    • Background in financial services, hospitality, or real estate industry is a plus
