Position: Operations Director – Stamford, CT

Job Overview:
As the Home Care Operations Director in our growing Connecticut-based home healthcare business, you will oversee all day-to-day operations with a focus on PCA services. This crucial role involves managing hiring, onboarding, office operations, intake, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with Connecticut’s specific home care and Medicare waivers and requirements.

Responsibilities:

Hiring and Recruitment:

  • Collaborate with leadership to assess staffing needs and create comprehensive job descriptions tailored to PCA services, incorporating Connecticut HCBS waivers and Medicare regulations.
  • Execute recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for PCA roles, ensuring adherence to Connecticut home care and Medicare compliance requirements.
  • Conduct interviews, assess candidates, and make hiring recommendations, ensuring candidates meet Connecticut state requirements.
  • Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to onboarding, specific to Connecticut PCA staff.

Onboarding:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive onboarding process tailored to Connecticut PCA services, incorporating Connecticut’s Medicaid waivers and Medicare guidelines.
  • Conduct orientation sessions to ensure new hires are familiar with company policies, state-specific healthcare requirements, and expectations related to PCA care.
  • Ensure all paperwork, background checks, training, and credentials required by Connecticut state and Medicare regulations are completed for new PCA team members.

Office Management:

  • Maintain a well-organized and efficient office environment to support PCA operations, ensuring adherence to Connecticut home care regulations and Medicare standards.
  • Oversee office supplies, equipment, and facilities management, with a focus on optimizing PCA service delivery.
  • Continuously improve administrative processes to enhance overall productivity for Connecticut-based PCA services.

Intake and Scheduling:

  • Collaborate with client services to manage the intake process for new PCA clients, ensuring compliance with Connecticut Medicare and Medicaid HCBS Waivers.
  • Develop and maintain an efficient scheduling system for PCA services to optimize staff allocation while ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Ensure that all scheduling adheres to Connecticut home care regulations and provides the highest level of care.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Stay up-to-date on Connecticut-specific healthcare regulations, Medicare standards, and other industry trends relevant to PCA services.
  • Implement and enforce compliance with state and federal regulations, including Connecticut’s Medicare and Medicaid HCBS Waivers.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate operational processes to uphold quality standards and regulatory compliance in Connecticut’s home care sector.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in healthcare with a focus on PCA services.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Deep understanding of Connecticut Medicare, Medicaid waivers, and other relevant home care regulations.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and office management tools.
