Job Title: Director of Land Surveying
Salary: $136,000 - $176,000 annually

Job Overview:
As the surveying department director, this position will utilize existing contracts to provide services to existing clients as well as expand geodetic services to other public and private sector clients. A large number of existing on call surveying and engineering contracts are within state and local government clients.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include overseeing and scheduling all survey field crews, preparing and reviewing proposals and contracts, conducting ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, determining and calculating boundaries, performing construction stakeout, topographic, and hydrographic surveys, and drafting metes and bounds descriptions. This role also involves business development, project management, quality control, staffing, personnel management, client relations, financial performance oversight, and executing the business plan.
Qualifications:
- Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Maryland (or ability to apply for reciprocity).
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in land and topographic surveying, including crew management and oversight.
- Ability to analyze and process boundary and ALTA surveys and prepare legal descriptions.
- Ability to perform in a marketing/business development role.
- Ability to prepare proposals and manage survey projects.
- Ability to manage/direct field crews.
- Proficiency with RTK GPS and Robotic Total Stations
- Must have proficiency with MicroStation
- Commendable work ethic and commitment to deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and self-motivation
- Valid drivers license
