Job Overview

• Work within the pilot plant supporting process development and scale-up activities
• Receive hands-on mentoring from senior engineers
• Support development of new processes and equipment for food, consumer, and chemical products
• Participate in trial runs and pilot-scale experimentation
• Support internal teams and external clients with technical execution

Key Responsibilities

• Perform computer-based process simulations
• Develop and optimize new chemical and manufacturing processes
• Set up and execute pilot plant experiments
• Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental and process data
• Specify new equipment for pilot and production environments
• Support trial runs and process validation activities
• Work with outside fabricators on equipment design and build
• Interface with internal stakeholders and external clients during development projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
• 1–5 years of experience, including co-op or internship experience
• Experience as a development engineer or process engineer preferred
• Demonstrated hands-on engineering experience
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple technical tasks
• Experience with process simulation tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong engineering fundamentals demonstrated through coursework, GPA, or technical projects
• Creative problem-solving ability and technical curiosity
• Experience with CAD software
• Exposure to PLCs, CFD, or process automation
• Experience designing equipment from concept through installation
• Familiarity with pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and related process equipment

Compensation

• $80,000 – $95,000 per year, commensurate with experience
• 10% performance-based bonus
