Senior Manager, Accounts Payable

Compensation: $94,500 – $105,000 per year (based on experience; flexibility for top candidates)

Position Overview
• Lead full-cycle Accounts Payable operations while overseeing Accounts Receivable collaboration
• Manage day-to-day AP functions and supervise a small accounting team (2–3 direct reports)
• Ensure timely vendor payments and strong internal financial controls
• Support GAAP compliance and month-end close activities
• Partner with retiring leader to ensure smooth transition of responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor relationship management
• Monitor cash flow impact related to payables and coordinate with AR as needed
• Participate in month-end close, including accruals and reconciliations
• Ensure accurate coding and adherence to financial policies
• Drive process improvements and workflow efficiencies within AP
• Support internal and external audits
• Train, mentor, and develop accounting team members
• Collaborate with Corporate Controller on reporting and financial strategy
Qualifications
• 7–10 years of progressive Accounts Payable experience (AR oversight experience preferred)
• 3–5 years of supervisory or management experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• ERP proficiency required (Infor M3 experience a plus)
• Experience with AP workflow systems preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred (equivalent experience considered)
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred; food manufacturing strongly desired
• High attention to detail and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
