About the Role
A consumer products company with approximately 100 employees is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide hands-on support across daily HR operations and workforce management. This role will serve as the first point of contact for employees and supervisors, ensuring HR policies, employee relations, and compliance needs are handled effectively. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish and able to build trust quickly with employees at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted partner to management and employees, handling daily HR inquiries and employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion

  • Administer benefits programs and guide employees through enrollment, eligibility, and claims resolution

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and Montgomery County employment regulations, including accurate recordkeeping and reporting

  • Collaborate closely with operations leadership, particularly in the warehouse setting, to support scheduling, onboarding, and workforce communication

  • Oversee onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensuring smooth integration into the company culture and processes

  • Research HR issues as they arise, providing practical recommendations and implementing solutions

  • Support investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution as needed

  • Assist in developing and improving HR processes, policies, and best practices to strengthen organizational effectiveness

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

  • Two or more years of human resources experience, with emphasis on employee relations, benefits, and compliance

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment regulations, particularly in Maryland and Montgomery County

  • Proven ability to build trust and credibility across diverse employee groups

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and related tools
