Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Human Resources will serve as a trusted business partner and key member of the leadership team at a large, fast-paced food manufacturing facility employing approximately 370 team members. This role is responsible for driving HR strategy, developing talent, and fostering a high-performance culture that aligns with company objectives. The successful candidate will be an experienced HR leader with strong plant-level experience, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic HR business partner to plant and operations leadership.

  • Lead a team of two HR professionals, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance management.

  • Drive employee engagement and organizational culture initiatives that align with business goals.

  • Partner with leaders on staffing strategies, workforce planning, and employee retention initiatives.

  • Oversee all aspects of talent acquisition, onboarding, and orientation for both salaried and hourly employees.

  • Manage employee relations, conduct investigations, and provide guidance to leadership on issue resolution.

  • Support performance management, training, and leadership development programs in collaboration with Corporate L&OD.

  • Ensure compliance with federal and California labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.

  • Oversee compensation, benefits, and HRIS administration (Workday experience preferred).

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives in HR processes and organizational effectiveness.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across departments to promote a cohesive and productive workplace.

  • Organize employee engagement and recognition events to reinforce company culture and morale.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field required.

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.

  • Manufacturing experience required; food manufacturing highly preferred.

  • Strong HRIS skills; Workday experience preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of federal and California labor laws.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

  • Skilled in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.

  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on driving cultural and operational excellence.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and partner across all levels of the organization.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range: $160,000 – $170,000 per year

  • Bonus: 10–15% annual target

  • Full benefits package
