Role Overview
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical and electromechanical systems used in precision industrial machinery. This position requires hands-on design work and collaboration with manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure quality, performance, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities
Design and model fabricated, cast, and machined components using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or Inventor).
Develop mechanical and electromechanical assemblies for precision industrial systems.
Apply core principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics to ensure performance and reliability.
Conduct tolerance analysis, interference checks, and structural simulations.
Support prototype builds, testing, and product validation.
Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECO/ECN) and documentation within PDM/ERP systems.
Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and suppliers to optimize production and solve design challenges.
Participate in product development initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience designing complex mechanical systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong background in industrial machinery, capital equipment, or related heavy mechanical systems.
Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or Inventor) and PDM/PLM systems.
Experience with castings, weldments, sheet metal, and machined components.
Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and motion control systems preferred.
Working knowledge of ECO/ECN and BOM management processes.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10%).

Salary: $85,000 – $110,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
