Job Title: Population Health Operations Director

Location: Columbus/Zanesville
 

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Healthcare Operations and Strategy to lead and manage all aspects of our healthcare operations, focusing on the successful execution of value-based care models. This role is remote but will require occasional travel for key meetings with internal and external stakeholders. As a market-facing leader, the Director will bring operational expertise and a strategic mindset to drive success across multiple healthcare initiatives, including managed care operations, provider partnerships, and new product launches. This position is ideal for a leader who thrives in an ambiguous environment and excels at building and scaling operations in support of value-based care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Drive operational success and oversee new business initiatives in value-based care. Provide operational leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Partnerships: Partner effectively with provider organizations, payers, and the broader healthcare system to ensure alignment with strategic goals and initiatives.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Synthesize and report performance data across operational, clinical, and financial functions to ensure operational goals are met, including cost, utilization, quality, and member experience.
  • Process Improvement: Leverage technology to drive operational efficiency, enhance clinical results, and improve the overall care delivery process.
  • Growth & Innovation: Lead efforts to expand membership and grow new lines of business. Develop and implement innovative care models to engage providers and deliver a world-class member experience.
  • Performance Optimization: Oversee the development and execution of an operational playbook that documents best practices for performance in value-based care arrangements, including bundles, shared savings, and risk-based payment models.
  • Project Management: Lead project management functions, including scope planning, budgeting, risk management, and performance tracking, ensuring successful execution of initiatives.
  • P&L Responsibility: Take ownership of the P&L and operational performance, ensuring alignment with financial goals and organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in healthcare management, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 7+ years in healthcare and/or managed care operations, with significant experience in leadership roles.
  • Expertise in managed care products, healthcare operations, and delivery systems, with a strong focus on value-based care.
  • Proven experience in building teams, products, or new organizations in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and problem-solve in a remote environment.
  • Empathetic approach to delivering superior member experiences, with a focus on patient-centered care.

Additional Information:

  • Compensation: $130,000 and up along with a comprehensive benefits package.
